Associate Attorney


Mayra Hernandez is a licensed bilingual attorney in California. She has worked on tenant-landlord disputes, personal injury disputes, trademark prosecution, copyright and new media rights cases. She has written about the crypto space and is interested in crypto regulation and technology startups. Not an artist by trade, she loves to see the creative process unfold. She was Pop Culture Editor for the school’s magazine and served as Intramural Athletics Director for California Western School of Law’s Student Bar Association. She is also a past-president of San Diego State University’s Association for Computing Machinery. She’s an ardent education advocate with over a decade of experience. 

Mayra was born in Mexico City and split her childhood between Baja California and Mexico City. She’s an immigrant who has lived in San Diego most of her life. Before graduating from Law School, she obtained a Bachelors and Masters in Mathematics. Later, she worked on research in and taught applied mathematics.

 In her free time. Mayra enjoys traveling, hiking, being outdoors, and trying out new recipes. Mayra is a certified yoga teacher and can’t wait to go out dancing!
